A small water study in oil. As my practice builds up to an exploration of water, I began to paint waves for the multitude of things they symbolise - ideas of distance, repetition, movement frozen in time, and blue being an indication of great depth. Additionally, Water persists as something searched for by space explorers as a sign of life - and the very discovery of it on other planets could change all we know and understand here on Earth.
